Panel: To Whose Voices Should We Be Listening?

Description Details
BOOK PANEL

"Art institutions are part of institutional racism and we have to continue these open conversations in order to find out whose voices we are and should be listening to." STACEY OLIKA, ARTIST & PANEL MEMBER

We begin our first In Between Time Summit Panel in the certain knowledge that there’s a job to do.  We need to commit to deep and ongoing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work: we need to talk about the impacts of racism, ableism, transphobia, sexism and discrimination, and take action to dismantle them. This panel discusses how we can better listen, better represent, and ensure genuine change is achieved. Kamaljit Kerridge-Poonia chairs a panel of change makers from the arts and media to share thoughts, truths, hopes and tactics around the question To Whose Voices Should We Be Listening?

Speakers include Kamalijt Poonia, Dorothée Munyaneza, Yasir Mirza, Jo Verrent and Stacey Olika. See below for more information.

This event is part of the In Between Time Summit Day 1 programme. The event is included in the 1-Day Ticket and 3-Day Summit Pass OR can be booked separately.
