We See Fireworks
An installation of light, memory and extraordinary live moments.
We See Fireworks is a touring installation that transforms audience memories of live performance into a glowing, immersive landscape of sound and light. Hundreds of recorded stories — from concerts, theatre shows, dance performances and unexpected moments of wonder — are woven into an installation of delicate vintage lightbulbs, where voices flicker in the dark like afterimages of live experience.
Part artwork, part archive, part dreamscape: a living collection of how art lives far beyond stages and buildings — inside the stories we carry with us.
Touring Overview
We See Fireworks is an established international touring artwork (since 2009), designed for galleries, festivals, theatres and unconventional spaces. The installation adapts flexibly to different venues and audiences, and can be presented as a standalone experience or alongside its one-to-one companion piece, Collecting Fireworks.

About the Work
At its heart, We See Fireworks asks a simple question: what stays with us after a live performance ends?
Audiences enter a darkened space filled with a grid of softly glowing vintage bulbs. From within the light, voices emerge — intimate recollections of unforgettable moments in live art. Some are joyful, some uncanny, some unexpectedly emotional. Together they form a shifting constellation of human experience.
Alongside the installation, Collecting Fireworks offers an intimate one-to-one encounter where visitors listen to curated memories before sharing their own. These new stories are added to the growing archive, allowing each new host city to reshape and expand the work.
The result is an evolving artwork that travels, gathers memory, and changes with every presentation.
