Vivian Chinasa Ezugha – Glossolalia
Exploring voice, language, and spiritual expression
Glossolalia is a developing participatory sound and performance project by Vivian Chinasa Ezugha, created in collaboration with In Between Time.
The work explores glossolalia — speaking in tongues — as a sonic, spiritual and performative practice. Through vocal improvisation, collective sound-making and embodied listening, the project creates spaces where language moves beyond fixed meaning into rhythm, emotion and shared experience.
Blending live participation, vocal experimentation and immersive listening environments, Glossolalia invites audiences to encounter voice as a site of memory, transformation and connection.
About the Collaboration
In Between Time is supporting Glossolalia through its Artist Co-Lab programme, working alongside Vivian Chinasa Ezugha in residence at Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge, in June 2026, to develop the project’s participatory methodology, audience engagement and future touring potential.
The collaboration reflects IBT’s commitment to nurturing artist-led work that expands access, foregrounds underrepresented voices and creates meaningful collective experiences.
