Creative Exchange Lab

WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT THE WORK OF THE IN BETWEEN TIME SUMMIT’S CREATIVE EXCHANGE LAB ARTISTS

Our first Creative Exchange Lab took place on 8-13 October 2019 during the In Between Time Summit.

13 exceptional UK artists who work in urgent, underrepresented or politicised territories were selected from a national open call.

This powerful cohort gathered in the Arts Mansion in Bristol creating artworks and provocations through workshops led by the Summit’s international artists Kameelah Rasheed, Dorothee Munyanazaand Cigdem Aydemir.

Mentored by curator and researcher Cecilia Wee, each artist created a single, incredible performance image in collaboration with photographer Manuel Vason.

The experience at the Creative Exchange Lab was really wonderful. I will keep a beautiful memory of this moment in Bristol. All work with Dorothée, Cecilia and Manuel was powerful, deep and transformative. I feel renewed. Rubiane Maia, Creative Exchange Lab Artist
